We’ve all been there. It’s 3:00 AM, you need to dim the bedside lamp, and you reach for your smartphone. Suddenly, a blinding blast of blue light shocks you awake. Voice commands aren't an option either unless you want to wake your partner.I wanted a physical, tactile solution: a single, simple control box that could manage both bedside lights from either side of the bed.Here is how I built a dual-zone smart dimmer using an old ESP8266, ESPHome, and a little bit of AI assistance.
